Teenagers, problems, parents, school, grow up...... All this in a movie:
SPEAK...
The protagonist of this film is Melinda Sordino, a young girl that the first year of secondary school had a bad experience that will mark hers days for ever. This film is a real reproduction of the most frequent problems that characterize the teenagers and the difficult way of the life.
I've seen that the great beauty of this movie is in the few words expressed , the scenes are caracterize by only the face of the protagoist , in paricular way Melinda ( Kristen Stewart) a very good actress.
Melinda in a summer party was raped by a boy Andy Evans, a good , lovely, beautiful boy that was in the same school of Melinda.
After this terrible event, evrything changed in Melinda and she didn't speak about this violence.. She stay alone in every moment, she wipe out the friends and she fall in a silence prison. When started the school everything is so difficult and sad for Melinda because she see everyday the monster of few months ago happy and popular with a new girl, her ex best friend Rachel.
In that school of loneliness, had an important role the art teacher Mr Brown. In fact the first way of express her drama, is painting the trees. Mr Brown is one of the few person who managed to see not only the surface of Melinda but the great weight that she brought in her heart ....
In this story the Melinda's parents are the tipe of parents that work so much and when they are at home don't undestand their daughter beacause Melinda in every moment is as mute.
Only after a period of remembers and with the help of her passion, Melinda became to research the power to speak and to have a new good life. I think she understand that isn't her wrong what was happen , but only Evans had to ashamed of himself...In fact this is the final of the story.. Melinda find a new happiness after the bad. black period and she's more strong only thanks to herself.
I think this is a so significate film and that it's a vision of the discrimination, the bullysm, the difficult, and the danger who a nice, reserved, timid, ingenuous girl can meet in the complicate way of the adolescence.
FABIOLA: In this scolastic year I have see a fantastic film: SPEAK.
This film talk about a girl, Melinda Sordino, a pretty and good teeneger, that a night with her friends went to a party where she met a nice and popular boy, Andy Evans. He becomes friends with Melinda and then kisses her. Andy at the party convince Melinda to go for a ride but he lead her in a car and raped Melinda. Then terrified and scared, Melinda, decided to call the police, when arrived the police Melinda said nothing about the violence, and her friends decided ,for this fact, to not speak with her forever.
Beginning of the new school year, Melinda met Heather, a stupid and egoist girl, that at the first time she shows available to become friends with Melinda but later she leaves to attend Melinda for other friendships.
But Melinda ,luckily, met a new boy, David, that help Melinda for overcome her fears with Mr. Freeman, the art teacher.
Until the end, Melinda decided to tell all to her ex-best friend, Rechelle, that had a relationship with Andy. When she knew the truth, she is so scared and can't believe that was Andy raping Melinda and gets angry at Melinda, but in no doubt that what she told Melinda to be true, decided to tell this to Andy and he confesse and admit the violence to Melinda. All school meet this, and Andy decided to attack Melinda, but she can defed itself and finally he will not come back to threaten in her nightmares.
At the and the Melinda's parents mets the truth and finally understood becouse their daughter was so strange and closed in one itself.
I think that the violence in the women is a cruel thing and these monsters who commit these actions deserve a life sentence, becouse the women aren't an object. Moreover, I think that Melinda has a strong personality, and face a fact so serious is so difficult. Andy Evans, that night had changed her life, becouse these violences althougth it seems to be overcome, because don't forget something inside is broken.
